Star Trek's Lt. Uhura flies her NASA mission today
Last month, we told you that Nichelle Nichols, the pioneering actress who portrayed Uhura on Star Trek, would be taking a NASA mission of her own. Alas, she will not be heading into outer space, merely the upper stratosphere, but she's 82, and that's awesome.
Well, the mission is today, September 15. Yesterday, she completed her flight training. Keep an eye on her mission and follow along on her Twitter page @NichelleIsUhura.
