This 'CHiPs' roller disco scene is the most 1970s moment in 1970s television.

See how many 1970s celebrities you can spot in the biggest boogie moment in TV history.

One of the many joyous elements of CHiPs is how the show unabashedly chased pop culture trends of the era. Ponch and Jon (and Ponch especially) come across hang gliders, BMX bikers, skateboarders, disco dancers, punk rockers, lasers, robots and just about any other zeitgeist-y thing you can imagine from the late 1970s and early 1980s.

But of all the trendy moments on CHiPs, nothing quite touches the epic roller disco scene in the episode titled, to the point, "Roller Disco." The double-length season three opener aired in September 1979 and culminates in an epic roller boogie scene.

The rink is filled with seemingly every single television star of the time. It's remarkable how many celebrities they convinced to slip wheels on their feet. If there is a more cameo-filled moment in TV history, we'd like to know it. Besides, in case you missed it the first time, they are all roller skating to a super funky disco cut.

You can spot stars of Laverne & Shirley, Diff'rent Strokes, Starsky & HutchBarnaby Jones, The A-Team, Eight Is Enough, The Love Boat… we could go on.

Here is the scene and some of our favorite cameos from the boogie-woogie bliss. See how many you can spot.
