Christopher Jones is an illustrator, comic book, and storyboard artist. He created the cover art and was an artist for the first Svengoolie comic book ‘Svengoolie Lost in Time’!

Design Inspiration

When I discovered Svengoolie went national on MeTV, I was hooked. The movies were a mix of classics and cheesy shlock, accompanied by info about the cast and lots of groan-inducing jokes and rubber chicken throwing. What's not to love? When I saw that Sven was going to be making a personal appearance at an upcoming convention where I was also appearing, I did a portrait of him in a style meant to homage classic monster artist Basil Gogos to act as an icebreaker and to demonstrate my appreciation of his show. That portrait is now on the wall of Svengoolie's dungeon set, often seen during the mail segments on the show.
