Are these real songs by the Monkees or did we just make them up?
Is the local rock group down the street trying hard to learn these songs?
Are you a big enough Monkees fan to recognize their deeper cuts?
The band had a wide range of hits, from jangly singalongs like "Daydream Believer" to rock anthems like "I'm a Believer," but their records also had more fanciful fodder that's well-known to those anyone actually infected by Monkeemania.
Here, we've mixed up real titles of Monkees songs from the 1960s with fake titles we just plain made up. See if you can detect the real Monkees tunes each time. Good luck!

8/12. I said the first one wasn't a Monkees' song. But, after I missed it, the tune popped into my head!
You got 5 out of 12
This could say this quiz was tough, and kind of wild...
I consider this a good score.
I never was a Monkees fan.

You got 9 out of 12 -----------------They could say this quiz was tough, and kind of wild. Got 3, 5, and 9 wrong.
12/12 You just may be the Monkees No. 1 fan! Not quite...but pretty durned close.
12/12. Which 3 songs were you suckered into believing were Monkees melodies? {or thought were Monkees melodies but aren't.} Don't give me the excuse that the screen moved, therefore it caused you to click on the wrong answer. Was one of the songs APPLES, PEACHES, BANANAS AND PEARS?
Stephanie, I don't remember what I got wrong, but I know how I got some of them right. I've heard 10 and 12, so I knew those were Monkee songs. I also knew 3 and 6 were wrong, because the first is a ballad by another singer and the latter title sounds stupid [also, Fondue didn't become popular until the '70's]!
