There are just about too many classic Christmas songs to count. Some people really look forward to Christmas music, while others are less enthused.

No matter how you feel about Christmas music overall, there's no denying when an all-time classic tune like "Frosty the Snowman" comes on, you can certainly hum along, and likely sing along too!

Following the success of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" in 1949, songwriters Jack Rollins and Steve Nelson wrote "Frosty the Snowman," and had Gene Autry, who sang "Rudolph," record this one as well.

The song has since had several adaptations, perhaps the most recognizable one being Jimmy Durante's version in the 1969 short film Frosty the Snowman. Durante, a well-known voice and character actor for the time, narrated and sang the title track.

No matter who is singing "Frosty the Snowman," do you sing along with them? Below is the opening verse to the jolly tune. See if you can fill in the blanks with the correct lyrics!

  1. Frosty the snowman, was a _____ happy soul.
  2. With a corncob _____ and button nose....
  3. And two eyes made out of _____
  4. Frosty the snowman, is a _______ they say...
  5. He was made of snow but the ______ know...
  6. How he came to _____ one day.
  7. There must have been some ______....
  8. In that _____ silk hat they found...
  9. For when they ______ it on his head...
  10. He began to _____ around!

Missed getting a ten by a verb.i do get a little burnt by all the Christmas music but I really can't complain as I made a living singing for fifty years singing in aband and one of the ways ipracticed was singing Christmas songs.we had a double album of sing along with Mitch songs that came with alyric sheet and I would sing along to all the classics.you wouldn't believe how many verses some of those songs have so I had a blast belting out those things.

8 out of 10. I have to hear it several times a day at work, so I’m trying to force it out of my mind.

That's when a song becomes an "earworm." That's a real term for when a song runs through your mind over and over again. It's hard to shut it off sometimes.

7 of 10.....I guess I need to watch these old shows again. It was party time back in the 60s when these shows came on TV. A bunch of us kids would gather at one house and watch it together....cookies, popcorn, Kool aid or some other drink to wash it down. Life was good and you could get spanked by any parent for misbehaving. We walked the line back then.

Good times. Every kid at school seemed to have watched the show be it Frosty, Rudolph, The Grinch or Charlie Brown. It was an event.

10/10... 50 years ago a kid had one shot a year to see the Christmas specials. Next day in school every kid was asking ever other kid if they watched Frosty or Rudolph or the Grinch the night before.

Exactly. I just posted the same thing. As I said it was an event.
