I would not react like Beaver.And it's because my father wasn't as understanding as Ward. He never have us an allowance and would Whip us for every infraction. He thought children were supposed to think and reason like an adult. He wouldn't give us extra money for anything.

In the old days parents could give out corporal punishment even if was because they had a bad day. In today’s world, a parent could lose custody for disciplining their children. Kids actually threaten to call police on parent. Where’s the middle ground.

Yes, I would have reacted differently than Beaver.
But on #2 they were way off. If my older brother's friend did something nefarious, I would have had a completely different reaction. I would have gone to my parent's and demanded to know, "Why didn't you TELL me that I have an older brother! Who is he? And is he a 'very good driver'?"

I’ve always been too honest sometimes for my own good, so, no I wouldn’t react like The Beaver. Maybe like a chipmunk, but not The Beaver. 🐿️
