Strolling the streets in Los Angeles isn't easy, and officers Jim Reed and Pete Malloy from Adam-12 certainly saw a lot throughout the series' seven seasons.
Television shows, especially crime-related television shows, based in L.A. are a popular theme, even today! The Sixties police procedural show was so popular that Martin Milner and Kent McCord appeared as their Adam-12 characters in other shows.
Dragnet was created by Jack Webb, who went on to co-create Adam-12, so an appearance from Reed, Malloy or both wasn't uncommon.
