What makes turkey number one is that it can feed lots of people at once. I like it once a year but the whole production is lots of work.
I'll be at the Cleavers for dinner! I hope I they don't invite that rat, Eddie Haskell...
So embarrassing, the Cleavers, where did I go wrong?
I'LL pass on everything got me the flintstones.
They had no turkey or preparation foods in prehistoric days! That's why you got stuck, and now starve!

Whew ! that was quite the Thanksgiving Buffet and must be a strain on the pocket. At least one can save a few bucks if their out shopping on "Black Friday" ( in preparation for the next holiday), and get hungry. A few fast food establishments have deals. :

My honest answers gave me THE FLINTSTONES......but I kept changing answers for fun and no matter what I did I ended up w/the Flintstones.......fine by me :-)
I must be getting old, sick and tired of some of the Thanksgiving food traditions. I do not want Turkey and the usual fare. Many people who have also tired of Thanksgiving turkey traditions serve fish, ham pheasant, chicken, ribeye, ribs, salad and some of the Thanksgiving sides. Some people have vegetarian Thanksgiving dinners. The best thing about the non-traditional Thanksgiving food offerings, there are hardly no leftovers hanging around for a week to ten days or guests are welcome to take whatever is leftover home with them. By the way, I have the distinction of having Thanksgiving dinner with the Flintstones. I would rather have Thanksgiving dinner with the Castaways on Gilligan's Island!!!
Yeah, it's good to have something instead of turkey on Thanksgiving. Turkey leftovers are only good the day after Thanksgiving. Well at least that's my opinion. I usually save some turkey gravy and heat it up and put it on some cold turkey with two slices of white bread for a turkey sandwich. My siblings and I always get together for the holidays. We have turkey for Thanksgiving dinner and we have turkey again for Christmas dinner. I really don't want turkey for Christmas, we just had it for Thanksgiving. For Christmas I would rather have some Italian beef sandwiches.
Most years growing up we had either chicken or a roast of some kind for Thanksgiving. Last year I got a free turkey---that was the 1st & last time I will ever make a turkey. It turned out good but *blech*, just having to touch it & dig around looking for those gross parts in the turkey carcass that were supposed to be inside but weren't just grossed me out big time. EWWW BLECH, never again!
